In June through September, I accepted a mission from the National Language Service Corps (US Department of Defense) to work as a linguist with the US Marine Corps. This part-time position allowed me to work with the III Marines Expeditionary Force (III MEF) on Camp Hansen. 

One of the highlights was interpreting for a group of Japanese college students who visited Camp Hansen to learn about the US military in Okinawa.

6月～9月にNational Language Service Corps（米国国防総省）の紹介で在日米海兵隊の言語学者として働きました。パートでありながら、第三海兵遠征軍の基地「キャンプ・ハンセン」に出勤しました。

出来事の1つは、米軍と沖縄県の関係を研究する大学生がキャンプ・ハンセンに訪問した際の通訳です。
